Welcome to the new and improved website of Pakistan Embassy College Beijing (PECB)!
The fact that PECB is one of the oldest international schools of Beijing is a testimony to its excellent academic standards and dedicated staff. We started this journey in 1969 from an apartment as “Pakistan School Peking”. The school was upgraded to secondary level in 1975, and to intermediate College level (Class XI & XII) in 1982. Until 2010, the College offered Edexcel University of London, UK syllabi to aspiring international students. However, in 2011 the College got affiliated with CAIE University of Cambridge, UK for IGCSE and ‘A’ Level qualifications. Presently the College is a registered “Cambridge International School” and an approved examination centre of both FBISE and CAIE.
PECB has a student population of about 450 students, out of which almost 40% are non-Pakistanis belonging to some 56 different nationalities of the world. The College recruits highly professional and expert faculty members from both Pakistan and China. Results of our students of IGCSE / A levels as well as Federal Board have always been excellent and we are striving hard to further improve them every year.
The primary function of the College now is to help students achieve their full potential and become responsible citizens of the global village. We employ most modern teaching methodologies to help develop an all-round personality of the students. The College has specialized and well-equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computing. The school curriculum and extra-curricular activities such as debates, sports, quizzes and cultural exchange programmes help our students to develop not only just academically but also cognitively, emotionally and physically. Clubs and societies, field sports and fun activities such as fiestas, galas and fairs are an integral part of school life at PECB.
I hope the information provided in this website will be helpful to understand the quality of curriculum and programmes offered at PECB. We look forward to welcoming you at our College.
